Newmans was founded in 1922 as a family owned valve & plumbing distributor. Shortly thereafter, in 1936, its business model was modified to serve only the Valve Industry. In the early 1970's Newmans began manufacturing NEWCO®, an international valve product line, making Newmans one of the first "ready" inventory of offshore products on the floor for immediate shipment. During the next few years Newmans acquired OIC and developed PAS (Precision Actuation Systems) which increased Newmans' share in the marketplace. In 2004, under new ownership, along with the original family, Newmans acquired COOPER® in order to expand its product range to include severe service applications. Then once again, the business model warranted modification to meet the growing demands of the Industry by opening foundries and processing centers in the Far East.

The NEWCO® brand of cast steel, low Alloy, forged steel, forged alloy, cast iron, and ductile valves and the OIC® brand of commodity cast stainless and forged stainless valves are highly recognized as proven products throughout numerous industries. The newly acquired COOPER® brand offers special alloys including, but not limited to, Duplex Stainless, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, Titanium and Zirconium. Newmans manufactures these brands in gate, globe, check, stop check, angle, and ball valves to Industry standards; such as, API, MSS, ASME, and ISO equivalents in sizes ranging from ¼" through 60" and pressures from 125lb through 4500lbs.

Newmans inventories $45 million of finished product in our five locations in North America and the newest operation in China. Our primary markets are the Refining, Petro-Chemical, Chemical, Power, Pulp and Paper, Marine, and Mining sectors.

Newmans manufactures gate, globe, check, stop check, tilting disc, trunnion and floating ball valves in a full range of materials, valve styles, and pressure classes. Cast carbon steel and low-alloys, forged valves, cast iron and ductile iron valves are manufactured under the NEWCO trademark. 300 series stainless steel and Alloy 20 are produced and marketed under the OIC trademark. Other exotic alloys are manufactured under the Cooper trademark.

Newmans manufactures and stocks valves in sizes from 1/4" to 60" in diameter and in pressure classes from 125 to 4500 lbs.

Newmans facilities operate under ISO 9001-2000 series registration. All valves are compliant to the industry standards of API, ASTM, and ASME. Inspection and testing is maintained thoughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance to these standards as well as any specific customer requirements.

Customer service is further enhanced by complete modification and actuation capabilities. Newmans maintains modification facilities in New Jersey and Barrie, Ontario Canada. This capability allows Newmans to provide rapid deliveries of special valve requirements to meet the customer's delivery needs.
